Shooting Target Safety
- Always wear proper eye and ear protection
- Always shoot at steel targets from safe recommended distances
- Always shoot perpendicular to the target face
- Never use steel core, armor piercing, tracer, or explosive ammunition
- Do not use damaged, cratered, or excessively worn targets
- Inspect all targets, hardware, and mounting systems before each use
- Ensure all bystanders remain at safe distances during use
Recommended minimum distances:
- Handguns (including .22 LR): 10–15 yards minimum
- Light rifle calibers such as .223/5.56: 100+ yards minimum
Improper use may result in ricochet, fragmentation, serious injury, or death.
